Our carer's digital resource

Carers across our community have told us that accessing the right information at the right time and knowing what support is available is a challenge. We’ve listened.

We know how difficult it can be looking after loved ones and balancing work/life, so we’re here to offer as much support and advice as we can.

Introducing our Carer's Digital Resource

Developed in partnership with Carers UK, our Carer's Digital Resource is packed full of information, guides and tools to help you manage your caring responsibilities. Covering areas such as your health and nutrition, wellbeing, short breaks, your rights and employment issues, the resource is there for you to access anytime, anywhere, and all free of charge!

Highlights include:

  • A range of e-learning courses, guides and downloads including topics such as your health, wellbeing, assistive technology and young carers
  • The Upfront guide – a unique self-assessment tool that gives your personalised advice and information and details about how The Charity for Civil Servants may be able to support you
  • Access to the Carers UK online forum, and the chance to interact with other like-minded carers
  • The Jointly smartphone app – a free to download tool to help you manage shared caring responsibilities (normally £2.99!)

Access the resource and set up your own account by using the passcode DGTC2273. Once you’ve signed up, you can access the resource whenever, wherever and as often as you wish!

Please Note: Due to varying IT access restrictions across the Civil Service, you will likely have the best experience accessing the Carer's Digital Resource on either your smartphone, tablet device or home computer.
