Did you know...?

  • Turning your thermostat down by 1°C can save as much as £60 per year!
  • Plugged in appliances use energy. Even chargers continue to use electricity when they aren't charging - unplug them.
  • You waste a lot of energy by leaving appliances on standby: it may be easier, but it's also a guaranteed way to waste money.
  • Your supplier may offer you a discount by paying your bills by Direct Debit. Just make sure you have the funds in your account every month to make the payment.

Available grants

Cavity wall insulation: there are now government-backed grants available to help you pay for insulation if your home has cavity walls. This could save you on average £98 a year.

Loft insulation: as much as 25% of the heat in your house could be disappearing into your loft space. If you apply for a loft insulation grant, you could save an average of £128 per year.

Energy-saving grants: There are plenty available to help with the cost of home improvements, so make sure you do your research.
