Mind can provide confidential information on a range of topics including types of mental distress, where to get help, drug and alternative treatments and advocacy. With information for local areas as well. Their website also contains information on a variety of issues.
Bipolar UK is the national charity dedicated to supporting individuals with the much misunderstood and devastating condition of bipolar, their families and carers. Arrange a call back from their peer support line to talk through any issues you have.

The Rethink Mental Illness Advice Service offers practical help on issues such as the Mental Health Act, community care, welfare, benefits, debt, criminal justice and carers rights. They also offer general help on living with mental illness, medication, care and treatment. The line is open from 9:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Their website contains useful practical information on a range of issues.

Aware is the only charity in Nortern Ireland working exclusively for those with depression as well as supporting carers, friends and family of those with depression. They operate support groups throughout Northern Ireland as well as delivering information outreach sessions. Their support line is open Monday to Friday 11am to 3pm.
