Majella, HMRC

As a newly established homeworker, Majella quickly realised there could be a problem with loneliness for other homeworkers. She noticed there was little recognition or support for this. Using her drive, determination and persistence she set up a network for this potentially isolated community. She has overcome many hurdles to turn the network into the thriving resource it is today. The network meets regularly to share problems and find solutions. Through this community Majella has made a significant difference to the working lives and wellbeing of over 200 homeworking colleagues in HMRC; giving this community vibrancy and its own voice.
