Our Community Awards were held in partnership with The Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS).
The Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS) is an award winning “not for profit” organisation, providing specially negotiated home, motor and travel insurance to all current, former or retired civil and public servants and their partners.
CSIS donates all its profits to the CSIS Charity Fund, an independent charity dedicated to helping current and former civil and public servants and their families to get through tough times in their lives. It has made grants to around 100 organisations including The Charity for Civil Servants, and supported the spouses of deceased policyholders, for more than a century.
In the last decade some £8.6 million has gone to those in need or hardship, returning help to the communities from which the funds were generated.
Thank you also to the following companies who supported our 2019 Community Awards.

"It was our pleasure to join the judging panel for the Community Awards 2019. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to discover first-hand the remarkable work that’s taken place within the Civil Service by their employees.
There was an incredible number of nominations this year, making it extremely difficult to identify the winning candidates. However, the winning nominations are those that have gone above and beyond, to deliver extraordinary community spirit across their workplace and are truly deserving of this recognition.
Not only are we extremely honoured to be sponsoring this year’s awards, but we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to present one of the winners awards."
“Commsave Credit Union was delighted to be the Gold Sponsor for the 2019 Charity for Civil Servants awards. It was a privilege to be involved throughout the process, from reviewing the incredible work of all the nominees and helping to select the winners, to attending the awards event itself and hearing first hand from the winners about their passion for supporting their colleagues. We were impressed with the community ‘feel’ to the awards, which was very much in tune with our own ethos, and we were proud to be associated with such a positive and rewarding event.”
