About our Community Awards

Our Community Awards shine a spotlight on those working to strengthen the Civil Service community around them. This happens every day in a range of ways both in and out of the workplace from current, former and retired civil servants. We celebrate those individuals who go that "extra mile" each day recognising the positive contribution they make across the Civil Service.

We’re talking about all activity, big or small, from all kinds of people; a friend, colleague or a volunteer. Anyone who, simply put, has had a positive impact within Civil Service community.

We received over 100 nominations for our 2019 Community Awards from which we chose 23 winners. Read their citations now to learn why they were recognised. Our winners were invited to our awards ceremony at The Haberdashers’ Hall, London on 7 November 2019.

Our 2019 Award Sponsors

Our 2019 Community Awards were held in partnership with The Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS). The awards were also sponsored by Commsave (Gold sponsor) and Specsavers, Hearing Star and CSSC Sports and Leisure (Silver sponsors).

“Commsave Credit Union was delighted to be the Gold Sponsor for the 2019 Charity for Civil Servants awards. It was a privilege to be involved throughout the process, from reviewing the incredible work of all the nominees and helping to select the winners, to attending the awards event itself and hearing first hand from the winners about their passion for supporting their colleagues. We were impressed with the community ‘feel’ to the awards, which was very much in tune with our own ethos, and we were proud to be associated with such a positive and rewarding event.”
