Hello! My name is Ioan and I've been with The Charity for Civil Servants since February 2021. I really enjoy the challenge of putting across our charity’s message and surprising people with just how varied and wide-ranging our support actually is! I’m originally from Cardiff, I was once a tour guide in Cardiff Castle, but now I live in Bristol. Outside of work, my interests are music, history and gardening when the weather’s just right.
Hi, I’m Ruth and I joined The Charity for Civil Servants in February 2021. My favourite part about being in the Digital Outreach Team is telling people about the breadth of services the Charity offers. I’ve spent the past seven years travelling and working outside of the UK, and connecting with people from all sorts of backgrounds is something I’ve always enjoyed! Knowing that a presentation could encourage even one person to access our support is my motivation, and the bonus of being digital is we're able to reach more civil servants than ever before.
Hi, my name is Steve. I joined The Charity for Civil Servants back in June 2019 and I still very much enjoy knowing the right help is going to the right people because of the work we do. Before working at the Charity I was in international trade for foodie businesses, and the comparison I make, is that if I didn't get up and go to work one day in my last job somebody wouldn't get a gourmet mustard in Norway. However, if I were to do the same here, then somebody may not get the help they very desperately need.
