The Charity for Civil Servants makes an incredible impact on the lives of those people who come to us for support.
But we can't do it alone. It's only by working in partnership with many other organisations that we makes things happen.
And because we're building a lifelong community, we look for partners who share our values. The partners listed below all play their role in helping us support you and your financial dependants.
Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS)
The Civil Service Insurance Society is a Not for Profit organisation, providing specially negotiated home, motor and travel insurance to all current and former civil and public servants and their partners.
CSIS charges NO ADMINISTRATION FEES of any kind and has won several awards for their trusted and transparent approach to insurance.
CSIS donates all its profits to the CSIS Charity Fund, an independent charity dedicated to helping current and former civil and public servants and their families to get through tough times in their lives. It has made grants to around 100 organisations including The Charity for Civil Servants, and supported the spouses of deceased policyholders, for more than a century. In the last decade some £7.5 million has gone to these causes, returning help to the communities from which the funds were generated.
Civil Service Pensioners' Alliance (CSPA)
CSPA has been working hard for over 60 years on behalf of their members. They make sure that you get the best from your retirement. Civil Service Pensions
The Civil Service Pensions website holds useful information for members whether they’re active, deferred or pensioners.
Pensions can often seem like a complex subject but the site is full of useful guidance including 'Members like me' and 'What to expect' guides. From claiming your pension to leaving the Civil Service Pension arrangements early, the guides take you through an easy to follow, step by step process detailing what you can expect your employer to do and what you'll need to do.
Civil Service Club
The Civil Service Club is a unique facility gifted by Her Majesty the Queen. The Club opened its doors in 1953, in an old horse drawn fire station, as a membership organisation and is open to all current and former members of the UK Civil Service and Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service with very reasonable membership fees.
The Civil Service Club is situated in Great Scotland Yard, between Whitehall and Northumberland Avenue and a short walk from Trafalgar Square. The Club provides a restaurant and bar along with overnight en-suite bedroom accommodation and lounge facilities for members and their guests in comfortable, friendly surroundings. The Club also caters for private functions including luncheons, dinners, weddings, retirements, and a variety of social gatherings.
The Club is fully open and has an active social programme, including comedy nights, quizzes and walking tours.
Boundless is a membership club for working and retired public-sector and Civil Service employees, delivering amazing experiences and unforgettable days out for all the family. In 2016 they set up the Boundless Foundation to provide a boost to the charities they know are close to their members’ hearts, raising over £150,000 to date!
Every year they support inspirational charities by donating funds raised through the dedicated Boundless Foundation Lottery. The money raised when people play the weekly lottery helps support those in need through various community support networks and makes a real difference to people’s lives. All funds raised are distributed to their chosen charities and The Charity for Civil Servants are delighted to be one of those selected to receive such incredible support.
